Lagos Police Say ASPAMDA Protest Was Caused by a Few Disruptive Individuals

Lagos Police Command says a protest involving Chinese traders at ASPAMDA Market in the Trade Fair area was allegedly caused by a small number of disruptive individuals. The chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, market officials, police and other security agencies visited the area to brief residents and traders. Police said those involved had been cautioned and that arrests may follow. ASPMDA leaders said the situation was brought under control quickly. A representative of the Chinese community said members remain happy to do business in Lagos.
