Portuguese forward Rafael Leão says his friendship with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen influenced his decision to join Galatasaray. Leão said the pair spoke before his move and are determined to help the Istanbul club win the Turkish Super Lig and make an impact in the UEFA Champions League. The two previously played together at Lille before becoming Serie A rivals. Osimhen has also started the season strongly, scoring five goals in Galatasaray’s opening three league matches. He scored and provided an assist in the club’s 3-2 comeback win over Goztepe.
