Osun Police Arrest Three After Suspected Cannabis Is Found in Abandoned Vehicle

Police in Osun State have arrested three men after recovering five bags of dried substances suspected to be cannabis from a broken-down Toyota Sienna on the Moro–Ife Road. Officers from the Violence Crime Response Unit reportedly found the abandoned vehicle during a patrol on August 30, 2026. The suspects later arrived with a tow truck, claiming they had come to move the Sienna, before officers searched it and discovered the suspected drugs. One suspect allegedly told investigators he was hired by a man known as “Baba Ibo” to transport the consignment to Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Police said the vehicles and recovered substances have been impounded as investigations continue to identify and arrest other people linked to the case.
