SWSGDU Commends Governor Dave Umahi for expressing Interest to 2023 presidential election The Lead South West Political support group for Dave Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi state on Tuesday commended his principal's strong will, for expressing his interest to contest the 2023 presidential election. The group made its impression known at a news conference in Ikeja Lagos state capital, extolled its leader for taking up the task to lead Nigeria at the crucial period.. National Leader of the group, Comrade Oludare Ajayi, said Nigeria needs a character like Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, to transform the country as he is presently doing in Ebonyi state. The group highlighted the contribution of people of the South East in the social economic development of the country, said Nigeria will excell under a strong leader like Governor Dave Umahi . Comrade Ajayi commended the dexterity demonstrated by the South East Chairman of Governors forum, for taking up the task to inform President Muhammadu Buhari of his interest to contest the exulted office , barely 24 hours after the national leader of APC, Bola Tinubu expressed similar move. Ajayi said, " We want to commend our presidential candidate for coming out at a time, most Nigerians need leaders with strong character and proven integrity like him to contest next year presidential election. " We are convinced without mincing words that the All Progressive Congress will finally zone it's presidential ticket to the South East and our leader Governor Dave Umahi will surely become the next president of Nigeria". " SWSGDU, believes in Equity, fairness and Justice, to ensure our Igbo brothers in Southern Nigeria produce the next president after President Muhammadu Buhari must have completed his tenure by 2023". The South West Support for Dave Umahi is a political pressure Group in South West Nigeria, which has its coordinators in the six Yoruba speaking states, including Kwara and Kogi states
