Arsenal Open Talks With Bayer Leverkusen for Jarell Quansah

Arsenal have opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a possible move for England defender Jarell Quansah. Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on Quansah because he can play at centre-back and right-back. The 23-year-old made 44 appearances in his first season with Leverkusen after leaving Liverpool last summer. Leverkusen are not believed to be willing sellers, having been impressed by Quansah's Bundesliga performances and adaptation. Arsenal may need to offer well above the £30 million Leverkusen paid for him, as he still has four years left on his contract.
