Adunni Ade Secures ₦30m in Defamation Suit Against Google

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has won a ₦30 million judgment at the Lagos High Court after successfully proving that online reports falsely linked her romantically to former senator Dino Melaye. The court found the publications violated her rights and ordered Google to remove the offending articles, expunge her name and photographs, and delete the content from its platforms. Ade announced the victory on social media, noting that some battles are best fought in court. She initially sought ₦100 million in damages but was awarded ₦30 million.
