A former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brig.-Gen. Maharazu Tsiga (Rtd) yesterday shared a chilling experience he had while in kidnappers den.

Tsiga, who was among 17 freed kidnap victims reunited with their loved ones said his captors once planted a bomb close to him hoping it would explode on its own and kill him.

“God was merciful to me. The bomb did not explode. I survived,” he said after he was united with his family by National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu Ribadu at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja yesterday.

Tsiga, who was NYSC boss between 2009 and 2011 and was in kidnappers captivity for 56 days also spoke on how his captors stormed his country home in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State on February 5, 2025, and blew its entrance with explosives.

The 72-year-old general added that one thing strange thing about the kidnappers was that they fear aircraft and not God.

His words: “One thing I have to say here is that the terrorists don’t fear God, but they fear aircraft.

“They will tell you, don’t call God for us, just give us money. But immediately they see aircraft, they and even their cows will run.’’

Predicting that terrorists, bandits and other criminals would meet their waterloo, he enjoined Nigerians to support the military in their routing.

’As much as the government is doing the best it can, we should try as much as possible to support them,” he said.

Galatasaray have accused Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho of "physically attacking" their manager Okan Buruk after he appeared to grab his nose following a fiery derby in the Turkish Cup, News360 Nigeria reports.

The incident occurred after the final whistle at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, when both managers were interacting with the match officials in the centre circle.

Mourinho approached Buruk from behind and appeared to pinch his nose, causing the Galatasaray manager to fall to the floor with his hands covering his face.

"Our manager Okan and Mourinho congratulated the referees. After that, while Okan was continuing, Mourinho first verbally and then physically attacked him," Galatasaray's vice-president Metin Ozturk said.

"Where else in the world can he do this? What does he think of Turkey?

"I believe that Fenerbahce's management will impose the necessary sanction before the federation does."

Galatasaray won the Turkish Cup quarter-final tie 2-1 with Victor Osimhen scoring twice for the visitors.

Fenerbahce contacted for a response.

Buruk, who enjoyed two spells at Galatasaray as a player before returning as manager in 2022, played down the incident at his post-match news conference.

"There was nothing between me and Mourinho," Buruk said.

"He pinched my nose from behind. There was a slight scratch. Of course, it wasn't a very nice or elegant thing to do.

"We expect managers to behave more appropriately in such situations. I won't exaggerate this issue, but it wasn't a classy move."

Fenerbahce substitute Mert Yandas and Galatasaray substitutes Kerem Demirbay and Baris Yilmaz were shown red cards for their part in a melee between the two benches during stoppage time.

Following a goalless draw between the two clubs in the Turkish Super Lig in February, Galatasaray said they would "initiate criminal proceedings" against Mourinho after claiming he made "racist statements".

The Turkish Football Federation also handed Mourinho a four-game ban and a fine of £35,194 for two separate disciplinary matters.

How often have we heard these phrases growing up? They echo the well-meaning yet misguided notion that comparison is a motivational tool.

There is a popular saying ‘Comparison is the thief of time’ which implies that the more effort you put into looking at and analyzing what everyone else is up to the less time you have to put in any work to better yourself. There’s another popular saying ‘Time is money’. This one tells us that since time is crucial to making money, wasting time is equivalent to losing earnings. Now if comparison is the thief of time and time is money that leads us to the conclusion that comparison also steals wealth.

But how does that happen?

Growing up in society it becomes normal to track development by paying attention to what is common among peers. There is an unwritten rule that governs the stages of people’s lives: It tells us that a child should start walking just before the first birthday and that sometime between age 5 and 6 their milk teeth should fall out. These timelines define our relationship with progress, when something happens a little too early or too late we often assume negative conditions. While it is wise to be safe the truth is that most times these little differences are just expressions of our uniqueness.

The society we live in hardly accommodates differences. The systems in place are designed for mass conformity and that is why we so often hear encouragement of comparison. Many times when society tries to cite someone as an example rather than making them a model they present them as a standard which lays the foundation for constant comparison.

I was constantly taught as a child that I couldn’t be sleeping when my mates were burning the midnight oil. So I had to wake up and read at night. That method was counterproductive because I was usually groggy and couldn’t assimilate well and I also couldn’t get enough sleep which was a loss on both ends. Even though I knew that reading at night was making my academic performance worse, I still stuck to that method for years because I felt since it was working for other people then I just wasn’t doing enough to see better results.

It was years later before I finally figured out that my best time of assimilation was post afternoon nap. Because I allowed myself to be compared to my peers I suffered through years of poor academic performance until I made the decision to work at my pace and by my customized system.

In the same way when people compare their progress in career, business or wealth building journeys it often leads to making wrong decisions in order to catch up.

Here’s a thought: you don’t need to catch up. It is true that life is a race but the misconception comes when we believe that we are all running the same race in different lanes when in fact we are all running several different races on different tracks simultaneously. Comparison erases that unique quality that is so often the leverage for wealth. There are many other success stories that validate the conclusion that comparison is the thief of wealth. When we spend our energy trying to match someone else’s pace, we often overlook the unique advantages we possess. Think about it – while you’re busy trying to replicate someone’s path to success, you might be ignoring the very thing that could set you apart. That casual hobby you enjoy? It could be your million-dollar idea. Your seemingly unrelated experiences? They might give you a fresh perspective that nobody else has. The time you spend comparing yourself to others is time stolen from discovering and developing your unique edge.

Charting your own course to wealth

The real secret to building wealth isn’t about keeping pace with others – it’s about finding your rhythm and staying true to it. Just as I discovered my optimal study time was after an afternoon nap, your path to success might look different from everyone else’s. > One person was reportedly killed while three others got injured when members of rival groups, popularly known as Sara-Suka, clashed around Yantifa community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. 

Residents said the members of the rival groups were seen carrying machetes attacking one another, a development that forced people to run for their lives.

The latest clashes which occurred late evening of Tuesday has caused confusion around the area.
Lawan Chizo, a vigilante in Jos, who confirmed the latest incident told our correspondent that security agencies including soldiers were deployed to restore law and order in the area.

Another reason is that Tinubu is afraid Sanwo-Olu might influence someone other than his own stooge (Seyi? Jandor?) to succeed him in office.

Tinubu tried did this same stunt with Fashola & Ambode. It didn't fully work with Fashola because he is a SAN and smarter than Tinubu in that regard.

Same is happening to Wike now. Tinubu has checkmated Wike & Wike is now at his mercy. Wike is shitting his pants as his situation is worse than Fubara's. Once Tinubu sacks Wike as FCT minister (which he will), he is dead & buried.

Tinubu first came with a bogus EFCC investigation on Sanwo before switching to pin the Obasa v Assembly mess on Sanwo. When those didn't work, he has now created a "Achimugu funds to Atiku & Obi campaigns" excuse. All these baseless allegations have ZERO proof and even if Achimugu funded Atiku & Obi, how is that a crime? Is a civillian no longer free to donate to whoever she wants?

The woman fled not because she is guilty but because she knows she will never get justice from Tinubu's pocketed judiciary like Natasha, Nnamdi Kanu & Fubara.

Tinubu is a paranoid, old, senile despot that wants to clinch power at all costs.

He is afraid of losing his dictatorship status in Lagos & wants to stain Sanwo-Olu so that his influence on his successor will reduce. This is why cowardice in a man never pays.

What Sanwo-Olu needs to do now is to start exposing holes in Tinubu. If Tinubu pushes him to the wall, Sanwo-Olu should expose a shady Lagos deal involving Tinubu or a shady deal from Tinubu's administration so that if he goes down, both go down. 

This is necessary because even if he survives this witchhunt and allows Tinubu's stooge to succeed him, the stooge will launch a fake investigation on Sanwo-Olu's administration & discover "fraud" which Sanwo-Olu will not be able to fight.

As it stands, Ambode is in a better position than Sanwo-Olu & Wike.

During the last public holidays, I discovered a very shocking thing within my circle of friends. This warrants me to ask this question. 

Which of these is the worst situation between your friend and your spouse?

Situation A: You discover that your friend of over 20 years have been sleeping with your spouse of 10 years.

Situation B : Your friend of 15 years is revealing your past and weakness to your spouse. They are also planning how your spouse can divorce you in an embarrassing manner.

Once upon a time in Nigeria 🇳🇬 
When I was supposed to go and seat for my waec examination in a community not very far from where we were staying at my home town in Nigeria. I was supposed to go to that-community maybe few weeks before the actual date of our departure to the place, So I didn’t go there because I was so busy with other things. Well it could have been more easier for me due to the fact that I need to get accommodation before hand,because it’s a new environment for me which I don’t know anyone From that community.

So the main day for all the candidates seating for the exams has arrived in order for everyone to commute to the community.
fortunately we arrived to the community safely and the van 🚐 dropped off and went back to town immediately.
Settling sets in, everyone who happens to have made plans for their accommodation prior to this event has gone into their respective accommodation or rooms. It was just me and one other guy that was left in the middle of the new place. We were in our own world ,confused and we don’t even know where to start to think on the next step to take. 

Then we team up and we decided to start seeking out for help from passersby, to our greatest surprise only few people there could understand English because they only speak their native dialect ,which I and the other guy don’t speak or understand,we looked around and saw some boys who were on top of a mango 🥭 tree 🌴 they were three and luckily for us they understood English, and we asked them if they knew where we could rent a space for the night and probably maybe by tomorrow morning we could find a room for us to stay for the rest of our stay during the exams.

So they took us to three different houses and there was no vacant room in any of these places,we were so unlucky and in deep pain and regret for not being here before hand like every other person whom we came together for the same course of writing exams,whom have already gotten their rooms and some of them are already sleeping and resting, but yet here we are wailing and walking around the entire community in search of shelter, It was so sad tears almost started rolling down in my eyes spiritually but not physically yet.

Then with the so much hisses and agony of pains from the disappointments from the houses we have already visited, we sat at the place where our luggage’s were at,I was sitting on my Ghana must go bag,and the other guy was standing with his hands on his waist in pains as well, right in the middle of the community center. The boys were also standing in front of us which in their faces were sigh and signs of pity and empathy. 

One of the boys said that his uncle is a rich man and he is the owner of a very big mansion at the right hand side of the community center and in that compound there was another boys quarters (small house) for quests but it’s not for commercial purposes it’s only for family members when there’s an event In their family. But he could help us with the uncles number so we could call him to ask him if we could rent one of the rooms .

Unfortunately he doesn’t own a phone 📱 and he has lost the paper where he wrote his uncles phone number on, and the only option we have that night in other to get the number was to go insearch of a man who was a friend to his uncle and also a family friend, he told us that the man is a hunter and maybe he has gone out for his night hunting, and the most interesting part of this was that the man’s house was 2 mile’s away from where we stood,the community center. 
Then we gathered the momentum and went in search of the man in order to get the boys uncle number,so that we could be able to call him and ask him to rent us a room in his boys quarters inside his compound,the journey began.

After many minutes of 🚶 walking, we were lucky to meet the men at home before he had went for his night hunting, this was about 23:30 pm, initially we arrived at this community by 18:00 , So the man had the number and we pleaded with him to help us call the uncle which was his friend, we had to climb 🧗 on top a tree in other to get a clear signal because the village was very far from where there’s a good signal.

Upon calling the uncle while on a tree 🌴, he didn’t answer for the first time and we called back again, he answered and asked why we would be calling him late ⏰ at night , we introduced our selves ,our names ,our hometown ,and what brought us to his community, he said okay and how can he be of help or assistance, we asked him to rent us a room in his small quest house that we are willing to pay any amount.
To our surprise the man said,he’s doesn’t have anything against us having access to the room but on one condition , his mother is the same compound there and she’s the person that the little boy lives together with, that we should go and seek for her permission, that if she agrees to our request, then we should move in.

Then we went and meet the mother and the little boy started interpreting the whole situation to her and finally she accepted and gave us rules to the compound, she said that we should not pay a dime to her that she’s not interested in our money that she just wants to help,that we can stay and live here for more than three months untill our exams ends.
Me and the other guy moved into the house by 01:00 am, we came with local mat and behold a very well made room with sexy mattress and we went to bed. 

The next morning,
Everyone was curious about our location ,where we went into or how we survived the night,prior to this none of these people were willing to take us in, although some were already three or two in a single room that’s why I didn’t blame anyone rather than myself and other guy for not planing ahead.
Well, To their greatest surprise And behold we were in the most beautiful And glorious mansion in that community at that time during our visit.
We suddenly got from being the two homeless 
boys to the most important boys in the group

The community lacks good water and the mansion that we stays in has boreholes and good tanks of clean waters 
So everyone is now asking us for water and they now wants to be friends with us, most especially the girls. I have other stories that unfolded during this prestigious privileges, I will write more about if I get enough like and comments on this. 

Well to what I loved more was that The old lady cooks and feed us while we help her out with little things around the house 🏠 my provision was in my room, even my parents were surprised I didn’t visit home during exams free weeks nor ask for feeding money, although I asked for exam matters money !

Busted! Police Uncover Secret Yahoo Training Center in Lagos

People operating an illegal school of sorts for internet fraud suspects-the so-called ‘Yahoo School’-in the Iju area of Lagos State were apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command. Hence, the setup being crushed had an actual glorified purpose.

In a statement released by the command’s spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, it was revealed that during the successful operation, the Police Detectives arrested four-(4) Yahoo masters recruiting students for the said-school namely Chibuike Ihejika, 23; Stanley Ihejika, 22; Obiora Oyediba, 26; and Emmanuel Oyediba, 25.

6 suspects, together with their 6 trainees undergoing programs in Internet cybercrime and fraud: Okorie Henry, Otoh Chisom, 20; Okeke Kwufrochikwu, 26; Uchenna Obeji, 26; Minachi Udochukwu, 12; and Chinedu Ukachukwu, 23.

‘’Preliminary investigations revealed that the principal suspects of the facility recruited their trainees from Anambra State, engaged them to commit internet fraud and other related crimes. The proceeds from their fraudulent activities were being confiscated by the principal suspects.

Myself and more than 100 thousand people are currently trapped in the red zone area of catigory 4 to 2 tornadoes.
It was just suppose to happen in a short area far far away from where we live i mean more than three states away. Only for me to wake up thos morning to multiple notifications on my phone about us taking shelter for safety.
It just came up on our state now we caught in the red zone.
So far multiple people have been confirmed dead.and this evil thing just keep appearing and disappearing at will anywhere it feel like. 
I don miss for body twice. This is my first time witnessing this thing up close.
It's suppose to continue for the next two days and they say it will start taking down structures tonight. We trapped in the middle no where to go and we advised to stay underground for two days..
