Peter Fury Denies Advising Anthony Joshua Ahead of Tyson Fury Fight
Peter Fury has denied actively advising Anthony Joshua ahead of Joshua’s proposed December clash with Tyson Fury in Cardiff. Joshua said at a press conference that he had spoken with Peter Fury about training and how to approach the fight. Peter, who previously trained Tyson Fury, said their conversation took place about two months earlier and concerned Joshua’s general skills rather than tactics for facing Tyson. Peter said Joshua has a strong team around him and added that his current focus is preparing Rico Verhoeven for camp. He said he would be open to helping Joshua after the fight. Joshua has also confirmed Ben Davison as his lead trainer, adding another talking point to the build-up for the heavyweight contest.
