Ghana Police Arrest Woman, Hunt Man Over Alleged Murder of Uncle and Niece
Ghana Police have arrested 47-year-old Beatrice Mumuni over the alleged murder of George Atuguba, 57, and his niece, Irene Atuguba, 47, at their home in NTHC Estate, Sakumono, on October 30, 2026. Police say Samuel Christopher Osei Anto, who has been declared wanted, is the principal suspect. Investigators believe the incident may be linked to an alleged debt of GH¢500,000 owed by George Atuguba. According to police, Osei Anto and Mumuni reportedly went to the residence to demand repayment before a confrontation occurred. The victims were taken to hospital but were pronounced dead. Police have announced a GH¢100,000 reward for credible information leading to Osei Anto's arrest.
