Marriage Mediation Turns Deadly: Husband Fatally Stabs Wife Over Divorce Talks

A family mediation in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe ended in tragedy on April 26 when Mukhosi Shadreck Mulaudzi Muthavhatsindi, 56, allegedly attacked his wife during discussions with relatives. Tensions rose after family members suggested divorce. The wife tried to flee and hid behind a house, but he caught up and stabbed her in the chest. She collapsed and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect attempted to escape but was captured by community members and handed over to police. He is now in custody awaiting court and the victim’s body has been taken for post-mortem. The investigation is ongoing.
