Adeleke and APC Clash over Rising Gunshot Attacks ahead of Osun Poll
Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke and the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress have traded accusations over recent shootings. The governor says gunmen opened fire in Ile-Ife and Owode-Ede, injuring residents and creating panic. The Osun Police Command confirms the incidents in Owode-Ede and Osogbo but has not linked the attackers to any political party. Investigations and intelligence gathering are ongoing. At a briefing in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke accused the APC of sponsoring violence to intimidate voters and called on top security officials to restore peace. The APC denied these claims and countered that thugs loyal to the Accord Party attacked its supporters and campaign buses in Owode-Ede.
