Nigeria’s Junior Female YellowGreens have qualified for the 2027 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup after beating Zimbabwe by four runs in the Africa Qualifier final in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The victory completed an unbeaten qualifying campaign for Nigeria, with wins over Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. Nigeria will now make their second consecutive appearance at the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, following their historic debut at the inaugural tournament in 2025. The National Sports Commission has congratulated the players, coaches and officials on the achievement.
