Delta Priest Condemns Distribution of Tinubu-Branded Rice Ahead of 2027

A Catholic priest in Orerokpe, Delta State, has criticised the distribution of branded rice bags to voters ahead of the 2027 general elections. The priest said he found a bag of rice bearing President Bola Tinubu’s image at his residence. He described the gesture as unpatriotic and argued that public resources should be directed towards industries, stable electricity and other long-term development projects. He said he would distribute the rice to members of his congregation.
