DREAMS OR VISIONS

DANIEL 4:6

[Daniel 4:6 NKJV] — Therefore I issued a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.

[Daniel 4:6 GWN] — "So I ordered all the wise advisers in Babylon to be brought to me to tell me the dream's meaning."

In the Bible verse above, which is also in the testimony of Nebuchadnezzar the king, because he dreamt that disturbing dream and saw that terrifying vision, he issued a decree or ordered for the forced appearance of all the wise men of Babylon in his presence for them to interpret his dream. By decree, by order of the king, all the wise men of Babylon were brought before the king. It's like today's court order to bring persons or make them appear before the court by force. So let me say, the king ordered the "Arrest" and "Arraign" of all the wise men of Babylon before his presence, to have them explain his dream.

So if a dream/vision troubled the king, he made all the wisemen of Babylon to be troubled for them to interpret and explain or resolve the riddles of the dream or vision to him. You may recall how it happened before, and how all the wisemen of Babylon were almost killed by the king on account of the king's dream or vision, which the wisemen could not guess (Daniel 2). Here again, the king still rounded up all the wise men or advisers of Babylon, demanding the interpretation of the troublous vision the king alone saw in his bedroom.

How can the vision or dream one man is seeing in his closet become a burden on the wise men in the same city or country? Why or how is the movie, the dream, the vision, you are seeing in your secret going to become other people's business when they are not even living with you? [Remember, it's about Testimony sharing].

Wise men should understand how much the visions, the dreams, the views and the perspectives, of their King, Ruler or Leader, affect them under him. It behooves the wise men to see what their leader sees, and to guide or counsel their leader into see things rightly and seeing them foresightly.

But in this case study above, even the wise men could not have seen what their king saw, not could they have helped the king see it well through the right interpretation of what the king saw. I would show to you the reason why the wisemen could not do this, but that would be when the next top Bible verse above is "Daniel 4:7."

DANIEL 4:7

[Daniel 4:7 BSB] — When the magicians, enchanters, astrologers, and diviners came in, I told them the dream, and they could not interpret it for me.

[Daniel 4:7 ICB] — The fortune-tellers, magicians and wise men came. I told them about the dream. But those men could not tell me what it meant.

In this second occasion, Nebuchadnezzar did not demand the wisemen to guess what his secret dream was, rather he narrated his dream to them. And still, they could not interpret his dream nor tell the meaning of it. What that meant was the wise men of Babylon were also blind to seeing the future things to come, which that dream or vision signified.

Those refered to as the wise men of Babylon in that testimony included the magicians, the enchanters, the astrologers (Chaldeans) and the diviners (soothsayers/prognosticators/prophets by dark arts). They were consultants in those different branches of forbidden/dark arts but yet they all came under one title, "Wise men." You see the title, "Wise men" does not always refer to Christians or men of God in the scriptures. For wizards, astrologers, magicians, sorcerers, or prognosticators, etc, who mastered their field automatically become wisemen: That is, by the time anyone would have mastered the art of magic, mastered astrology, mastered arts enchantments, mastered witchcraft etc, he/she must have read or learnt some wiseness and discipline, and could become counselors, advisers, professors or guru(s), in those fields to be called "Wise Men" or "Magi." So even in the dark arts and underworld, wisdom, maturity, discipline and skills, are required for their fools or childish to become wiser.

Thus, they were all wise men, but they couldn't interpret the king's dream. That did not disqualify them from still being called wisemen though they could not see through the king's dream. It is their desire to see those things, not their ability to see those things, that makes them "Wise men."

Here in this top Bible verse above, I show to you the reason why the wise men could not do this, interpret the king's dream or vision:

It's the difference between "being wise" and "Having the Spirit of God." It happened in Egypt with Joseph and in Babylon with Daniel. 

*1* In Egypt, Pharaoh first tried his wise men of Egypt, but none could interpret his dream until Joseph came and interpret his dream, and Pharaoh himself testified "the Spirit of God was in Joseph" [Genesis 41:38]. 

*2* In Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar first tried his wise men of Babylon, but none could interpret his dream until Daniel came and interpret his dream, and Nebuchadnezzar himself testified "the Spirit of God was in Daniel" [Daniel 4:8, 5:11]. 

I will discuss on the Spirit of God in dream/vision interpreters & prophets, but that would be when the next top Bible verse above is "Daniel 4:8."

Eight: A man who lives in Lagos, rather than the Anambra he governed, attacks Lagos State Government for maladministration. If Lagos was so bad, why not move to another state? 

Nine: An individual under whom as Governor poverty doubled in Anambra, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, promises to reduce poverty locally. 

Ten: And finally, a man who is notorious for plotting "religious war" against Muslims is assuring the Muslim Ummah that they can rely on him. Yes. Rely on him to prosecute his plan against them!

In a dramatic turn of events, the trial of Ali Bello, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, and his cousin Dauda Sulaiman, facing charges of money laundering, took a significant stride forward today at the Federal High Court in Abuja. The duo, accused of siphoning state funds, stood firm in their plea of innocence as the proceedings unfolded.

An unexpected twist emerged as an Access Bank representative, Olom Otane Egoro, took the stand as a crucial witness for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Egoro meticulously detailed how millions of naira flowed into Kogi State's coffers only to vanish in a haze of suspicious withdrawals.

Egoro's testimony outlined a troubling pattern: hefty sums poured into Kogi State's bank account, only to be swiftly withdrawn in cash, often in increments of N10 million. These transactions, occurring repeatedly on the same day in 2019, drew the EFCC's keen scrutiny.

The revelation hinged on Access Bank statements spanning from 2019 to 2021, casting a stark light on the alleged financial malfeasance within Kogi's corridors of power. EFCC counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), moved to have these damning documents admitted as evidence, a motion met with concurrence from the defense.

In a tactical maneuver, defense counsels Abubakar Aliyu (SAN) and Olusegun Jolaawo (SAN) opted to reserve their objections for the final written addresses, a decision that prolongs the legal battle. Cooking gas dealers have crashed the price of the product further following improved supply and forex availability The dealers said the price of refilling 12.5kg of cooking gas crashed from N14,000 to about N10,000. Findings show that the crash also comes following the relative gain of the naira against the US dollar.

Findings by Legit.ng show that dealers of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), also known as cooking gas, have crashed the commodity's price following supply improvements. According to a market survey conducted by Legit.ng, the dealers have crashed the product's price to N900 per kilogramme from the N1,300 it sold weeks ago. LPG dealers report improvements in supplies The dealers reported improvements in supplies from various depots, saying that the price also crashed due to the relative availability of foreign exchange for import. 

A manager at Gasland depot in the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos, who pleaded anonymity, revealed that the price crash also followed the Nigerian government's removal of value-added tax (VAT) from the product. "We are witnessing supply improvements, and more marketers can access the products. Also, we have noticed an improvement in forex availability for importers to bring in the product." He stated that the deport sold the product at N1,300 per kilogramme two weeks ago but crashed the price to N900. He revealed that 12.5kg sells for about N10,000 from the N14,300 it sold two weeks prior. 

Bauchi recorded the lowest average price, N13,167.50, followed by Katsina and Yobe, with N13,562.50 and N13,610.00, respectively." The fulfillment of the precious plan of God for Joseph will only come to pass if someone can just speak concerning him to the highest power in Egypt. He was not ignorant of this; that was why he said "make mention of me to Pharaoh". This principle still holds till date; soaring to the top is very easy when someone above you holds your hand and pull you up.

When the Lord is set to have mercy on a man He connects him to people that matter in high places. For David to fulfill the plan of God for his life he needed to get acquainted with the kingdom affairs. This was not possible until someone spoke about him to King Saul (1Sam 16:18).

One of the criminals who was crucified along with Jesus understood this principle said to Him, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." (Luke 23:42). The height you will reach and how far you will go in destiny depends on the voice that speaks on your behalf in various high places. Even in Heaven, we the children of God have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1John 2:1).

A Voice In High Place

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and founder of the Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, has advised critics of 700Km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway not to use the road when completed.

Politics Nigeria reports that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and some notable Nigerians have condemned the Lagos-Calabar high describing it as a “white elephant project”.

They also said the project is not a reflection of the needs of Nigerians at this point in time.

But in a video shared on his X (Twitter) handle, the former Bayelsa senator lauded President Bola Tinubu for the initiative to construct the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.

The media mogul described the project as “proof of the transformative power of visionary leadership by President Bola Tinubu.”

Bruce also described Umahi as a man of “dedication at the helm of affairs.”

“This highway will slash travel times, reduce transportation costs and increase access to markets and resources,” adding that the road project will be a “game changer for investors, entrepreneurs and travellers.”

While noting that the N13 trillion project will bring about economic growth, Murray-Bruce said Tinubu is “crafting a legacy of prosperity and growth,” while the highway will be a “symbol of hope for a brighter future.”

He added: “This is why it is surprising that some disgruntled people are opposing this project and I would suggest that such enemies of progress should not ply the road when it is completed and stick to the old, long and treacherous routes.”

However, governors of Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, Edo, and Delta states have lauded the President for initiating the construction of the coastal highway project.

It should be surprising to see children of God cringing in the presence of forces that threaten not only their physical lives, but also their relationships with their Father in heaven. This attitude is unlike that of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Babylon. These young Hebrew men knew their God to be strong and mighty, and they were bold enough to declare it to the absolute director, king Nebuchadnezzar. This is what is expected of us as children of the Most High God.

In the testimony of the Psalmist in our Bible reading for today, we read of him speaking about the God who is strong and mighty in battle. This God has never lost any battle. Like I have preached on many occasions, this God is a war-Lord; He is more effective than any Chief of Naval Staff when it comes to sea battles, He is more effective than any Chief of Air Staff when it comes to offensive air battles. This was proven in the battle he fought on behalf of the children of Israel under the leadership of Joshua: “And it come to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.”Joshua 10:11

Beloved, I am please to announce to you that if truly you are born-again, your God is strong and mighty. Hence, you have no reason to fear any attack of the enemies. The Bible says: “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the raising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the
spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 59:19-20

There is something very important to note in the above scripture; ….unto them that turn from transgression….” The Lord, strong and mighty can only fight on behalf of those who have reconciled with Him through genuine repentance. Sin exposes an individual to enemy attacks. Therefore, I appeal to someone reading this devotional; ensure that your life is void of iniquity which makes you vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. Our God is strong and mighty. Those who have walked with Him sincerely have this as their testimony. It will be yours too in Jesus’ name.

Father, please show yourself strong and mighty in my life so that my enemies may fear, repent and surrender to your Almightiness.

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele on Sunday warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be strategic about his approach to the Northern part of the country as they won’t support his second term ambition.

Primate Ayodele claimed there would be a series of gang-ups against President Tinubu in the North and that some people close to him would betray him.

In a statement by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele said leaders in the zone would conspire and all Tinubu’s efforts would not be seen as anything.

‘’Tinubu will still have a lot of problems ahead of 2027 because the northerners will gang-up against him. Some who are closer to Tinubu will betray him.

“Despite all that he will be doing, there is going to be an aggressive conspiracy from some of the northern leaders against him. He will try his best but it won’t be seen as anything,” he said.

The prophet revealed that the president and his Vice, Kashim Shettima will have a lukewarm relationship due to the issues that will arise from the north.

He warned of a serious political setback and tension towards the second term bid of the present administration.

‘’Shettima and Tinubu will have a lukewarm relationship due to the issues that will arise from the north.

“The northerners will work against Shettima and rivals will rise up against him.

“The president has to be tactical about the northerners, otherwise, he will face a lot of setback and political tension towards his second term,” he further stated.

Continuing, Primate Ayodele asserted that the north will not experience any significant development because there will still be insecurity till 2030, poor infrastructure and education in the zone.

‘’I don’t see an end to insecurity in the north till about 2030 because it is within them, there is going to be mismanagement of development.

‘’There is no blueprint for northern development in this government because the northerners have worked against it.

“The north will continue to face insecurity, poor infrastructure, education and they will be divided,” he added.

The amended Act was assented to by President Tinubu in February 2024.

Under the new Act, posts which are injurious to a person’s reputation is no longer a crime. The new Act limits the offence of cyberstalking to messages sent by means of a computer which are:

(a) pornographic;

(b) a threat to the life of another; or

(c) likely to lead to a breakdown of law and order.

In this specific case, the post made by this individual is neither pornographic, life threatening nor capable of leading to a breakdown of law and order.

By virtue of Section 36(12) of the 1999 Constitution, an act or omission is only an offence if it so defined expressly in a written law.

90% of lawyers don't prepare their cases before coming to court- Anambra Judge

Justice Vincent Agbata of the Anambra State High Court, Nnewi Division, has said that 90% of lawyers do not prepared their case before coming to court 

Agba stated this on Tuesday at his his court while welcoming a new wig( a lawyer newly called to the bar.

The new lawyer( name withheld) was introduced to the court by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Reverend Father (Dr) Edwin Obiora.

Father Obiora who said the new lawyer was called to the in March, said she graduate at the Abuja Law School.

Welcoming the new lawyer, the presiding judge, Justice Agbata enjoined the her to keep on reading.
He said,"Keep on reading. Get yourself the Evidence Act and made it familiar with you.
"Over 90% of lawyers don't prepare their cases before coming to. This is the truth."
Justice Agbata said the trend had affected both old and new lawyers.

Continuing, Agbata said, " When we were newly called to the bar what we did was to bring up everything we were taught in the university and Law School and start reading them afresh."

The judge said by so doing he became quite acquainted with the law, admonishing new lawyers to toe similar line.

A fowler uses a snare to entrap prey. I grew up on a farm, and we used to get our meat by trapping animals. In the evenings, we would get traps, dig into the soil, put the traps in the hole, cover them with leaves, and sprinkle soil on the leaves so that everything would look normal. After setting the traps, we would put baits (usually corn) on both sides of the traps and then go to bed. At night, when an animal sees the baits around a trap, it will go close and eat some of the corn. When it sees that nothing happens, it moves forward, eats a little more and then goes on until it finishes all the corn on one side. Since it has eaten all the corn on one side, it ignorantly attempts to cross over to eat the corn on the other side, and suddenly, as it steps on the trap, it snaps shut and catches the animal. By morning, it is in our cooking pot. There are countless people in hell today because they tasted sin and nothing seemed to happen, so they kept sinning until they got caught in the devil’s trap.

Visits Water Schemes In Imo .

The Imo State Commissioner For Water Resources, Ozo Obinna Ogwuegbu has debunked the report on the social media with the caption "Massive Looting And Vandalism At Otamiri Waterworks"

The State Commissioner while speaking to journalists when he visited the Water Scheme made it clear that there was no vanadalization at Otamiri Waterworks.

Ozo Obinna Ogwuegbu noted that the equipments at the water scheme are still intact and CCTV camera were only brought down due to a malfunctioning but has been reinstalled and the security personnel incharge of the water scheme are on their duty post .

He described the purported report as false and baseless. He noted that the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma is undeterred on his efforts at the provision of portable Water for the good people of Imo state.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the permanent secretary of the ministry,Mrs Nwaugo Nnenna, the managing Director Imo State Water Sewerage Corporation ,Engr Peter Chukwuma and the Enlarged Management Team of the ministry .

Meanwhile the Commissioner also visited some of the water schemes in the state, such as Umuoba ,Imo State University,Dikenafai , Ubomiri Water Scheme to ascertain the facilities on ground as directed by the State Governor.

It will be foòlishness of the greatest degree to choose Rita because she's a virgin. I say foolishness not as an insult but to highlight the appalling nature of someone willing to make mistakes just to have a virgin.

Now, a woman's past is a determinant of her future. But her body count isn't the first thing or 5th you should be looking for.

Any history of cheating from her end is a much better indicator of how she'll treat you.

If you had a business and someone recommended a guy to you then says "this guy is a hardworking, always punctual, friendly etc . However he has a tendency to run people street and steal"

You would most likely not accept that person but rather find someone which much better values 

Now this isn't an excuse to knock up a girl with 30 body counts. High body counts like that are a no go as well for various reasons 

Anyways, that's it... when vetting a woman for long term potential, try as much as possible to find out her track record of cheating.
