Obasogie Celebrates Winning Bendel Insurance Return in 4-2 Victory Over Kun Khalifat
Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie marked his return to the Nigeria Premier Football League with a 4-2 win over Kun Khalifat at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City. Obasogie, whose debut was delayed by international-clearance paperwork, said he was pleased to return to the club where he began his career. He added that the result and the three points mattered more than keeping a clean sheet. Alex Oweilayefa, Suraju Lawal and Chinedu Nwosu, who scored twice, found the net for Bendel Insurance. Uchechukwu Onuoha and Ebetomame scored for Kun Khalifat. Bendel Insurance face Ranchers Bees next, while Kun Khalifat host Rangers International in Owerri.
