Ogun Police Deploy School Protection Squad as Schools Resume
The Ogun State Police Command has deployed its School Protection Squad across the state to strengthen security as schools resume academic activities. Police spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi said the squad will protect pupils, teachers and school facilities, gather intelligence around campuses, and respond quickly to threats. Schools reopening later will also be included in the arrangement. Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni urged school authorities, parents, students and residents to report suspicious people, vehicles or activities around schools promptly. The command said early reporting is vital to preventing incidents and provided its Gateway Shield emergency line for school-related emergencies.
