US Denies Mahmoud Abbas Visa for UN General Assembly in New York
The United States has denied Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas a visa to attend the UN General Assembly in New York. The decision follows expanded visa sanctions against Palestinian officials over allegations that the Palestinian Authority and Palestine Liberation Organization have failed to meet peace-process commitments.
