Arteta Blames Poor Execution as Brighton Hammer Arsenal 3-0

Chema Andrés added a third in the 57th minute as Brighton’s high press repeatedly unsettled Arsenal. Arteta described Arsenal’s technical display as extremely poor and said his players did not respect the demands of the game. He credited Brighton for being sharper and said the defeat must serve as a lesson. The loss ends Arsenal’s seven-game winning run and is their first defeat of the 2026/27 season. They return to league action against Leeds United on October 10 after the international break.
