Honest Self-Inventory: A Practical Guide to Sexual Purity

Honest self-inventory helps us recognise the habits, triggers, strengths and blind spots that shape our pursuit of sexual purity. Galatians 6:3–4 urges each person to examine their own work rather than deceive themselves. Be specific when assessing your struggles. Note the situations, emotions and routines that make you vulnerable, as well as the strategies that have helped you make progress. A written record can reveal patterns that vague self-assessment may miss. Inventory should also recognise growth. Identify the areas where God has helped you change, then share your reflections with a trusted accountability partner or counsellor.
