Oyetola Seeks Danish Investment in Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy
The Federal Government has invited Danish investors to explore opportunities in Nigeria’s marine and blue economy, including ports, logistics, shipbuilding, fisheries, green shipping and renewable energy. Marine and Blue Economy Minister Adegboyega Oyetola made the appeal during a bilateral meeting in Copenhagen with Denmark’s Minister for Business and Competitiveness, Martin Lidegaard. Oyetola said Nigeria is moving from policy and institutional development to project delivery, investment mobilisation and skills development. He added that Denmark’s experience in shipping, logistics and green technology could support Nigeria’s maritime transformation. Both sides discussed practical partnerships involving government, businesses, technology providers and knowledge institutions to improve port efficiency, maritime infrastructure and sustainable growth.
