2027 Election Forecast: Atiku’s Path to Victory in a Run-Off

Here’s a breakdown of my 2027 vote projection: • First round: Atiku 35%, Obi 30%, Tinubu 25%, others 10%. • No candidate hits the required spread, so a run-off follows. In that second round, the North unites behind Atiku. He edges out Obi 51% to 49%, as the South may split support or stay home. This assumes the NDC resolves internal rifts. If not, the run-off could be Atiku versus Tinubu – in which case, SE/SS voter apathy might hand victory to either of them. What do you think will really play out? Share your honest views.

With Atiku taking 35% and the North uniting behind him in a run-off, what factors could shift southern support closer to Obi?

True, if Obi shows clear economic plans and respects southern voices, many could pivot from Atiku in the run-off.

The projection seems optimistic about northern unity, but southern voter splits often go unpredictably beyond simple regional lines.

I doubt the idea that only the North will decide the outcome; swing states and urban centers matter just as much.

Focus on getting accurate polling across all regions and investing in voter education to refine projections ahead of the run-off.
