1 / 2
Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has extended the closing date for its $1.6 billion initial public offering to 27 October 2026, following approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said the extension will allow more investors across Africa to participate in the share offer. Aliko Dangote said subscriptions have already exceeded the initial fundraising target by more than three times. He said the goal is not only to raise capital but also to widen African ownership in one of the continent’s largest industrial businesses.
