Fresh Ambush in Jos South: One Killed, One Injured

Gunmen attacked residents at Sabon Gidan Kanar in Gyon El District, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State on June 6, 2026. Thirty-six-year-old Shedrack Dalyop was killed, and 32-year-old Mang Davou sustained serious injuries. The Berom Youth Moulders Association noted that this ambush came just days after a similar incident in the same community claimed one life and wounded another. The group highlighted the rising insecurity facing residents of Sabon Gidan Kanar. While mourning the loss of Shedrack Dalyop and praying for Mang Davou’s swift recovery, the association urged Operation Enduring Peace and other security agencies to investigate the attack, arrest those responsible, and restore safety for all residents.
