Umar Sadiq Scores on Return From Injury as Valencia Beat Elche

Umar Sadiq made a dream return from a two-month injury layoff, scoring the only goal as Valencia defeated Elche 1-0 away on Sunday. The Super Eagles striker came on in the 60th minute and struck nine minutes later. He finished a quick counter-attack after Arnaut Danjuma played him through. Elche dominated possession and hit the crossbar through Lucas Cepeda, but Valencia held firm. Goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski made a crucial late save from Federico Redondo to secure Valencia's win and Javier Aguirre's first victory as manager.
