Oba of Benin Seeks Partnership With Oluremi Tinubu on Women and Children’s Welfare
The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has called for a partnership between the Office of the First Lady and the Oba Ewuare II Foundation to support women, children, families and other vulnerable people. During Oluremi Tinubu’s courtesy visit to the Benin Palace, the monarch praised her international engagements and said closer collaboration could expand the foundation’s work in scholarships, skills training, Edo language promotion, and support for trafficking and irregular-migration survivors. Tinubu said her Renewed Hope Initiative would continue to support women and vulnerable groups. She was in Edo State to mark the Oba’s 10th coronation anniversary and commission newly acquired CNG buses intended to reduce transport costs.
