Should a President Personally Join Forest Searches for Kidnapped Pupils?

Peter Obi said that, if he were president, he would spend two days in the forest searching for kidnapped schoolchildren. This raises a question for me: how would a president balance such direct involvement with responsibilities in other sectors of government? Security is a major national concern, but the NSA, Chief of Army Staff and Inspector-General of Police also have defined roles in responding to kidnappings. Should a president personally lead a search operation, or focus on coordinating the agencies responsible and ensuring they deliver results? I think Obi’s statement needs clearer explanation. Strong leadership is important, but a president must also manage the wider duties of the office and avoid undermining the chain of command.
