My Post on Normalisation, Faith and Social Change Was Removed

A thread about two lesbian couples playing football together appeared on NaijaWorld’s front page. I commented that normalisation is a normal part of human society, but my post was removed. In the passage I shared from my fictional Book of Universal History, I argue that many beliefs and practices once considered unacceptable can become accepted over time. I also question religious ideas of divine anger, punishment and fear. My main point is that people give power to beliefs through repeated acceptance, storytelling and propaganda. I believe people should think critically rather than be controlled by fear.

What reason was given for removing it, and was the fictional history passage treated differently from your own comment?

Did the removal notice explain which part of your post was considered problematic?

The dispute seems to be less about football itself and more about how normalisation, faith, and social change are discussed publicly.

Removal can feel unfair, but calling something normalisation may also make people think their religious concerns are being dismissed.

It may help to repost the core argument in plainer terms, separate the fictional passage, and ask moderators which specific rule applied.
