Chigozie Chukwuleta Honoured for Over 30 Years of Journalism Service
Veteran journalist Chigozie Chukwuleta has received the 2026 NUJ Anambra Long-Term Professional Service Award for more than three decades of work in Nigerian journalism. She received the honour at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Anambra State Council’s 35th anniversary and Press Week grand finale in Awka. Chukwuleta, a Deputy Station Manager at UNIZIK 94.1 FM since 2013, has also mentored young reporters and provided editorial leadership at the station. A seasoned sports journalist, she has covered the African Youth Championship, All Africa Games and Africa Cup of Nations. She has also held several leadership positions in the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria and participated in a FIFA/AIPS training programme for female sports writers in Senegal.
