Ukraine Drone Strike Disrupts Yandex Data Centre Near Moscow
Yandex has suspended operations at a data centre in Vladimir, east of Moscow, after a Ukrainian drone strike damaged the facility. The company said no one was injured, but some services became unavailable to users. The strike was the third reported attack on Yandex facilities in one week, following incidents in Sasovo and Kaluga. Yandex said the disruptions affected services including its AI chatbot, smart-home devices, taxi platform and food-ordering app. Ukraine says it is targeting infrastructure that supports Russia’s war economy, while Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities continue. I support Ukraine’s right to hit infrastructure linked to Russia’s invasion and war effort.
