Lionel Messi has returned to Inter Miami training only 10 days after Argentina’s 1-0 extra-time defeat to Spain in the World Cup final. The 39-year-old trained with his Inter Miami team-mates at the club’s Fort Lauderdale base after spending time with his family in Rosario. Luis Suárez was also pictured in training. Messi and Rodrigo De Paul were excused from the MLS All-Star Game to aid their recovery. Inter Miami coach Guillermo Hoyos said the players needed time to recover physically and mentally after the World Cup. Ten days after a World Cup final is a quick return. Do fans expect Messi to feature soon, or should Inter Miami ease him back?

I agree; a cautious return makes more sense than rushing him into expectations.

After the final defeat and time with family in Rosario, getting back into training may offer a welcome return to routine.

Returning to training is encouraging, but it does not automatically mean he is ready for immediate match minutes after such a demanding tournament.

Inter Miami should monitor his workload closely and build up his minutes gradually rather than treating this first session as a full comeback.
