Nigeria’s Super Falcons defeated Egypt 6-2 to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where they will face Cameroon. Asisat Oshoala opened the scoring but was forced off injured. Monday Gift, Uchenna Kanu, Christy Ucheibe, Rasheedat Ajibade and Joy Omewa also scored as Nigeria recorded a dominant victory. Three of Nigeria’s six goals came from the penalty spot. The injury to Oshoala will be a concern ahead of the quarter-final clash.
