FG Settles Long-Running MM2 Dispute, Paves Way for Regional Flights
The Federal Government has signed settlement agreements with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Bi-Courtney Limited and Stabilini Visinoni Limited to resolve nearly two decades of disputes over Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MM2). The agreement covers MM2 and the unfinished hotel and conference centre opposite the airport. The dispute had moved through several courts, including the Supreme Court, before the parties agreed to a negotiated settlement. With the settlement, the Federal Government is expected to begin receiving its share of revenue from MM2. The terminal is also expected to expand its operations to handle regional flights across Africa.
