Boniface and Tella Absent as Leverkusen Beat RB Leipzig 2-0
Bayer Leverkusen claimed a 2-0 Bundesliga win over RB Leipzig, but Super Eagles pair Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella were unavailable. Tella remains sidelined by injury and is yet to play for Leverkusen this season. Boniface, who has made one appearance and provided an assist, also missed the match. Patrik Schick opened the scoring in the 44th minute after being set up by Miguel Gutiérrez. Gutiérrez then scored Leverkusen’s second goal in the 57th minute as the hosts held off Leipzig’s late pressure. The result gave Leverkusen their second league win of the season and moved them up to 10th in the table.
