Dear God, thank You for the gift of friendship and for the people You have placed in my life. Thank You for the joy, comfort and encouragement they bring. Teach me to be a true and faithful friend. Give me a gentle tongue, an understanding heart and the grace to listen well. Where there is distance or misunderstanding, bring healing, patience and forgiveness. Surround me with friends who encourage me and lead me towards what is good. Help me to support them with kindness, laughter and prayer whenever they need it most. In Jesus’ name, amen.
