State Police vs Armed Citizens – Can Guns End Insecurity?

I support the idea of state police, but I know it won’t solve our security crisis alone. These forces can’t be everywhere, especially when some states can’t even pay teachers. We should let Nigerians who can afford guns own them freely, even assault rifles like AK-47s. If farmers, vigilantes, business owners, and security guards are armed, terrorists will think twice before attacking. Schools should be guarded like banks. Anyone who uses these weapons indiscriminately must face life imprisonment. Peace thrives when all sides are on equal footing.
