Redeemer’s University to Graduate 2,471 Students, Launch 10 New Degree Programmes
Redeemer’s University, Ede, will graduate 2,471 students at its 18th convocation ceremonies scheduled for 8 and 9 October 2026. The graduating class includes 2,030 undergraduates and 441 postgraduate students, with 200 undergraduates earning First Class honours. The National Universities Commission has approved 10 new undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 session. They include Software Engineering, Biotechnology, Criminology and Security Studies, Journalism and Media Studies, Film Production, Broadcasting, Public Relations, Advertising, Information and Media Studies, and Information Systems. The university also said it has approval to introduce Pharmacy, Medicine and Surgery, and Dentistry, subject to clearance from the relevant professional bodies. Its Health Village at Redemption City is expected to serve as the teaching hospital. Convocation activities include an awards ceremony, lecture, play, project commissioning and degree ceremonies for the university’s various faculties.
