Osimhen Falls to Fifth in Africa’s Most Valuable Players Ranking

Victor Osimhen has slipped to fifth in Transfermarkt’s ranking of Africa’s most valuable footballers, with an estimated market value of €75 million. The Galatasaray and Super Eagles striker previously held the top spot in 2023. He now trails Yan Diomande, Achraf Hakimi, Antoine Semenyo and Ayyoub Bouaddi. Osimhen is level with Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo and remains Nigeria’s most valuable player. The ranking comes despite Osimhen’s strong start to the 2026/27 campaign. He has recorded four goals and one assist in his opening two matches for Galatasaray, while continuing to attract reported interest from Arsenal and Al Hilal. Osimhen has scored 63 goals in 76 appearances for Galatasaray and is now third on the club’s all-time foreign scorers list.
