Kristian Prenga Denies Anthony Joshua Fight Was Fixed, Cites Illness for Late Collapse
Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga has denied claims that his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was fixed. He described the allegations as false and irresponsible, insisting that both fighters have integrity. Prenga knocked Joshua down twice in the opening round but lost momentum as Joshua took control in the second. He said illness during training camp affected his conditioning and left him struggling to recover after the frantic start. He explained that his attempt to slow the pace and regain energy did not work, allowing Joshua to seize control of the fight. Team Usyk director Sergey Lapin has also dismissed the fixing allegations.
