Trespasser Killed After Being Pulled into Plane Engine at Denver Airport

An individual reportedly died after breaching a perimeter fence and entering the runway at Denver International Airport. The person was struck by Frontier Airlines Flight 4345 as it prepared for takeoff. The collision triggered an engine fire warning, forcing the crew to abort takeoff and evacuate 224 passengers and seven crew members via emergency slides. Smoke was seen filling the cabin during the evacuation. Twelve passengers sustained minor injuries and five were taken to hospital. Frontier Airlines says it is investigating the source of the smoke, while the National Transportation Safety Board has opened its own inquiry. Runway 17L was temporarily closed and later reopened. A separate incident involving a ground worker at another U.S. airport is also under investigation.
