Amapakabo Regrets Abia Warriors’ Home Draw With Rivers United
Abia Warriors coach Imama Amapakabo described his side’s goalless draw with Rivers United in Aba as two points dropped. The result was their third draw in four home matches this season. Amapakabo said his players struggled to recognise attacking transition opportunities and appeared to doubt themselves at key moments. Abia Warriors have nine points from eight league games, with six points already dropped at home. The coach also expressed concern over the team’s reliance on Chukwuemeka Obioma for goals. Obioma has scored six goals and provided one assist in eight matches, while Amapakabo urged other attackers to contribute more. He praised young defender Godwin Meyanga after his league debut and said the club will continue giving opportunities to players who perform well in training.
