I Allege St. Peter Catholic Private College, Abeokuta, Mishandled My Son’s Junior WAEC Registration and Fee Refund
My son attended St. Peter Catholic Private College in Olomore, Abeokuta, Ogun State. I noticed what I believed were several administrative problems and complaints from other parents, but I initially hoped the school would address them. I allege that the school registered my son’s Junior WAEC examination with the wrong name. I complained for months, and I was later informed by other parents that their children had reportedly faced similar errors. I eventually moved my son to another school to protect his academic future. Before changing schools, I had paid ₦92,000 for the following term, although my son did not attend classes that term. I requested a refund and correction of his examination records. I also received information that a refund may have been processed through the Catholic education directorate in my name, but I have not received the money. I am asking the relevant Catholic education authorities to investigate the matter, ensure my son’s records are corrected, and help resolve the outstanding refund. If the issues are not addressed within a reasonable time, I intend to explore legal options.
