Sunday Igboho Allegedly Orders 24-Hour Kidnap of TikToker Over Criticism of His Tinubu Support
In a leaked audio, Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho is heard instructing his loyalists to abduct TikTok comedian Wale Owokanpa Aburumoku, known as “Funny Thinker,” within 24 hours. This follows the influencer’s public challenge to Igboho’s ban on opposition figures in Yorubaland. Earlier, Funny Thinker accused Igboho of undermining democracy by threatening to bar Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar from campaigning in the region. He warned that such anti-democratic rhetoric could backfire and even declared he might start campaigning for Obi in protest. Igboho’s spokesperson has dismissed the alleged kidnapping order as fake news. The dispute comes amid Igboho’s recent endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid, drawing criticism from the Yoruba Union for abandoning the Yoruba self-determination cause for partisan interests.
