Exhausted by Injustice and Insecurity in Nigeria
I wake up every day with more reasons to question why I’m Nigerian. I thought the story of the Jos widow who lost her only son was the worst. Then 37 innocent children were kidnapped. Today I read about JusticeCrack’s ordeal at the hands of the DIA. This agency is meant to protect us, yet it is allegedly being used to harass, abduct and make citizens disappear without a trace. I remember my own encounter with the DSS when I identified myself as a journalist. One officer openly told me they could kill me and nothing would happen. Is this truly a country? I am tired of insecurity, injustice and the abuse of power. How much more must Nigerians endure?
