Security forces under Operation Enduring Peace have arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a police inspector in Jos North LGA on April 18. The attack took place around 7pm in the Congo-Russia area. The officer is receiving medical care while the suspect remains in custody. Later that morning, troops on routine patrol intercepted a 24-year-old man found carrying a 7.62mm round near the Correctional Centre. He was detained for further investigation. Authorities say both cases are under review and that patrols have been stepped up to bolster security in the area.
