Bandits Kill JTF Member, Abduct Mother and Son in Kaduna Community

Armed bandits reportedly invaded Kyauta New Millennium City in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State at about 11 p.m. on Tuesday. They allegedly abducted a woman, Asma'u, and her son, Umar. Her husband reportedly escaped by hiding inside a car during the attack. A Joint Task Force member was shot in the head while security volunteers tried to trace the attackers. He later died at Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital. In a separate incident, bandits reportedly attacked Gubuchi community in Makarfi Local Government Area, where a prominent businessman, Alhaji Rabo Gesha Gubuchi, was kidnapped and killed. Police had not issued an official statement, while the whereabouts of the abducted mother and son remained unknown.
