Modern Israel’s Star: Biblical Symbol or ‘Star of Remphan’?
I’ve been wondering where in the Bible King David is linked to a star symbol like the one on today’s Israeli flag. The only star mentioned is the “star of Remphan” in Amos 5:26–27, which refers to idolatry, not David. Stephen was killed by a Jewish mob in the Sanhedrin for calling out their idolatry, raising questions about religious authenticity. How can modern Israel claim a biblical heritage when its founding involved violent tactics by atheist Soviet-era leaders against Palestinians, whom I see as the true descendants of Israel?
