17 Brigade Storms Ginchawa Hideout, Kills Two Suspected Terrorists and Seizes Arms
A dawn raid by the Army’s 17 Brigade in Ginchawa village, Matazu LGA of Katsina State, neutralised two suspected terrorists. Troops acted on credible intelligence and overwhelmed the hideout. No soldiers were injured, and blood stains suggest others fled wounded. Security forces recovered two PKT machine guns, a Dane gun, an AK-47 magazine with 75 rounds of linked NATO ammunition, three motorcycles, radios, uniforms and livestock. The operation underscores ongoing counter-terrorism efforts to deny extremists freedom of movement and protect lives across Katsina.
