I Caught the Giant Rat Raiding My Yam Farm

I planted about 100 yam seedlings in March on the unused land at my workplace, mainly for us staff to eat later. Recently, I noticed that rodents had been uprooting and eating some of the yams. An older colleague advised me to set a trap. When I checked it, I found that it had caught this huge rat, shown in the photo. I am considering giving it to the colleague who suggested the trap. Should I hand it over to him or keep it for pepper soup with unripe plantain?
