Man Accused of Stabbing AAUA Student Granted N500,000 Bail

On June 8, 2026, at about 8:10pm, Femi Olamitoke allegedly stabbed Adekunle Ajasin University student Adeyemi Abolaji in the right hand with a knife. He faced a two-count assault charge under Section 249(D) of the Ondo State Criminal Code before Magistrate K.A. Kolawole. Prosecution described Olamitoke as quarrelsome, noting prior disputes that went unresolved. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges. Magistrate Kolawole granted bail of N500,000 with one surety in like sum. The surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and present current tax clearance. Police will verify the residence. The case has been adjourned to June 24, 2026.
