Artist Dior Adiele Accuses Father of Abandonment and Childhood Trauma
Nigerian artist Chidera Dior Adiele has accused her father of abandoning the family and dismissing the trauma she says she experienced while growing up. Dior shared a WhatsApp exchange after he sent her a video about children rejecting their parents. She responded that he had been absent for years and was more concerned about public opinion than his children’s wellbeing. She also alleged that relatives abused her as a child and accused her father of sexually abusing her maternal aunt. Dior said she supported herself through school and cared for her brother during mental-health and substance-use struggles. The allegations have not been independently verified.
